Hey Hey, happy Fri-Yay!!!
I'm still seeing all the Target Dollar Spot posts on my Insta and I'm literally swooning. I know my purchases made all of you excited and yours are making me excited too! Self-control is something I've had to practice this week because I realized that #1, comparison is the thief of joy (don't compare your insta-teacher favorites to yourself) and #2, hello budget. I did state in my post on Sunday that my husband doesn't really care what I spend on my classroom but I haven't even visited the teacher store yet sooooo... self-control had to take a front seat. Plus it's only mid-July. I still have another month until I can get into my classroom and see if and what I still
On a random note, I'm thinking of changing my farmhouse classroom theme. There are two reasons behind this: my classroom walls are lime green (so not my choice, it was painted that way when I moved in) and all of my classroom supplies are just about the opposite of farmhouse and chic (think bright colors for reading baskets, etc.). Sigh. I should have asked my principal if they could paint my walls this summer but as a new teacher last at that school last year, I kinda didn't feel like I shouldn't ask. Sigh again. With that being said, I'm now looking at all the colorful-classroom inspo.
Anyways, back to the reason for this post: favorite teacher supplies. I did a giveaway on my IG Wednesday and a ton of teachers commented on what their favorite teacher supplies are - think flair pens, Mr. Sketch Markers, and post-its. I had a ton of other supplies mentioned too, so many so that I decided to round them up and share with you guys!
In no particular order, other than flair pens always being #1 in my eyes, here are the top 5! I linked to Target, Amazon, or Walmart for the items. With BTS sales being here, my best advice is to shop around first and make a list of what you need to get from each store!
Papermate Flair Pens
12 pack, Amazon, $10
I use Flair pens for just about everything -- especially grading papers. I love all the bright colors and I sometimes I just don't like to grade in red pen, especially when I'm reading writing papers from my kiddos. You can find Flair pens at Target and Walmart too, especially now that it's BTS time.
Mr. Sketch Markers
12 pack, Walmart, $4.84
Office Depot/Office Max had a ginormous sale on these a couple of weeks ago - like 75% off! I legit ran to every store within a 15 mile radius and am now stocked for this year and maybe next! These are my go-to markers for anchor charts.
Post-It Sticky Notes
3-pack Rio de Janeiro collection, Target, $2.39
I'm all for generic things - sometimes. Sticky notes, in my opinion, is something you should always go name brand. The cheap ones lose their adhesiveness quickly - I learned this last year when I made an anchor chart where students had to answer a question on a sticky note and attach to the chart. By the end of the day, I had fallen sticky notes everywhere.

Colorful Book Bins
5 pack, Walmart, $9.97
These are the bins I have in my classroom library. I purchased them at the end of last summer and they lasted the entire year with no issues. I'm thinking of spray painting them to match my farmhouse decor, if I keep that theme. I was thinking of spray painting black and a mint color. Or maybe white. I also bought the book bin labels from dollar spot at Target last weekend and I'm hoping they fit. Now I just need to find some book bin labels. Do you have any TPT recommendations?

Expo Dry Erase Markers
18 pack, Amazon, $9.99
Dry erase markers are not created equally. Go with the Expo brand. I had the Yoobi brand from Target last year (my students all have dry erase markers on their supply list) and they dried out so quickly. I use my white board a ton for a homework board, daily agenda/schedule, classnotes, etc so I like to have a variety of colors. Teacher tip: save the markers that are starting to dry-out - let your students draw on the board with those while waiting for dismissal, brain breaks, etc. That way they aren't using your good ones! :)
Happy Weekend Friends! Now run off to Target and buy those supplies!
